Joyce was a Scenic Artist for 25 years for Broadway, feature films, the Metropolitan Opera, and major dance companies. She has worked on productions like the Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, and films with Spike Lee.
In 2008, she founded NYC School Help where she gives private consultations with families who want help navigating the Brooklyn and New York City school system. She spends her time interviewing educators, touring schools, and being obsessed with all aspects of public and private schooling. She can be seen in The NY Times, The New Yorker, the WSJ, and The Atlantic.
